“Alright, and Marc you will be partnering up with Brielle for this project.” The lanky Sasquatch stalked, yes it appeared as if he literally stalked, over to me. I instantly turned red. Marc chuckled too. Mr. Belisle instantaneously quieted the class for which I was thankful.
I felt a nudge against my side and looked at Marc’s arms for awhile, and then I shook my head and looked up. He was staring down at me with piercing hazel- no honey coloured eyes. God, they were beautiful. I was utterly mesmerized to my absolute embarrassment. I shook my head as if to clear it. “God, this day sucks.” Subsequent to my prior discomfort I gradually started to talk but we mostly just discussed the project, nothing off topic to my slight dismay.
I felt as if we were naturally quiet, composed and slightly shy. Over the course of the project, we mainly stuck to discussing formal things, sometimes I felt as if he wanted to say something, something more than just experimental theories but it felt as if he had prohibited himself from discussing anything else and I was just too introverted to do something about it.
I took those coincidental occurrences as blessings and a part of fate at first, moments to give him a shy smile or to greet him in class, but I was sadly mistaken. I stared out the window for a little while trying to collect my shattered hopes and after that, well…
